Muscle soreness?

Hi,
I'm new here, I just started SLs 2 weeks ago after a couple of months of doing the weight machines at the gym. Progress completely stalled on the machines, so I switched to SL.
I was wondering what your experience with muscle soreness was/is with SL?
I had that oddest thing happen - 24 hours after my first ever SL workout, I could hardly get out of bed - I had started with 40-50 lbs for all exercises.
The soreness went away within the next 24 hours and hasn't come back since. Do muscles really adapt so fast or do I need to switch something up with my strength program to challenge myself more? I've been doing the +5 lbs for each workout.
I would have expected for the soreness to return occasionally as the weight increases or general fatigue sets in.
What's your experience?
Thanks much!

I've never been sore from 5x5. Not once.
Which isn't to say it's not coming as my weights get heavier, but I don't think it's something to be concerned about.0 -
i had your results after my first-ever exposure to squats and lunges. just bodyweight, yet. after that, i wasn't aware of anything much . . . but if you show your quads and glutes to a foam roller and a lacrosse ball, you might find yourself changing your mind
after that first attack i haven't really been sore again, but my muscles do get very very tight without sending distress signals that i can feel. i once got really serious with the rolling, and that woke up levels of tenderness in my muscles that i had no idea i was harbouring.0
