Unrelated Question

I have a question that is unrelated to running though could loosely be tied to fueling for runs... so mods, please delete if you're not ok with this.
Holidays are coming up and I'm planning on testing out some cookie recipes here soon so I can send cookies to distant coworkers and maybe overseas (I think for once none of my friends are deployed - whoa!)
I have my Gram's chocolate chip cookie recipe and her peanut butter cookie recipe.
I found a snickerdoodle recipe from smittenkitchen last year I liked. But I'd really like some more ideas and recipes. Especially for oatmeal raisin, I can't find a recipe I like.
I'm asking the group since there are over 3k members so I hope get more responses than from my FL. So please help a gal out and if any of you are in Maine, maybe I'll see you at one of my upcoming races and give you some cookies =]

Best oatmeal cookie recipe I've ever made/had came from the 'Milk & Cookies' cookbook (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XHPXPU?btkr=1). I found it in a library, but it's probably worth purchasing the book for that recipe alone! I've made these cookies several times, trying chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and raisins - they were a HUGE hit every time!
These double-ginger sugar cookies are amazing and keep really well (so I anticipate they would also survive the USPS) http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/double-ginger-sugar-cookies
