So, I've been doing SL for about a month. I hurt my wrist the first week, no doubt due to improper form. I've been trying to work on that and haven't increased my weights a whole lot as a result. But, my right wrist (dominant) still hurts.mit hurts most when I twist it side to side but also when I try to lift stuff. Light stuff, like a large cookie sheet or while making the bed. Ouch. It doesn't seem to hurt as much when I am working out, though. I'm guessing that it's just ligament strain or something like that. It's not excruciating, just bothersome and achey. Anyone else experience this? Should I get wrist wraps? Of course, I can go see my doctor but I just wonder if any of you have gone through this, too.

I used to have wrist pain when I started practicing front squats but it went away when I started working out my wrist muscles with small weights.

I hurt my elbow while doing bicep curls. I kept working out anyway because it was bothersome and achey like you describe not intense pain. Thought it would get stronger and better with time. Well, that was a year ago. I finally went to the doctor and got steroid shots - twice. Finally decided that I need to really rest it and give it time to heal by not doing the things that irritated it. I still workout but I modify a lot with that arm. I would suggest using dumbbells for a little while so you can modify and use lighter weights (or none) in your right hand. These little aches can become big chronic aches if you don't watch out. And I would definitely get wrist straps.

thanks for the input. I probably should schedule a Dr. appt. soon. My wrist feels weak just picking up my coffee cup. &%#*! I was just feeling like SL was getting me stronger and giving me results! I think the injury happened when I first upped my bench press weight. I had a failure (and no spotter) and had trouble racking the bar. Got it hooked on one side and almost dropped the other onto my face. Embarrassing and possibly injury causing. I'm still doing very low weights on BP because of that.

Aww that sucks. I had something similar happen with my wrist when I had a weird re-racking fail with an axle while squatting. I was able to get it back to 95% with some rehab I found online. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hlWgH3_0NU

My policy (probably not the best one) is to wait things out for a bit, and try some generic rehab. If that doesn't work I would go to the Dr, but I haven't had it not work yet.

ETA: obviously if you feel sharp pain during rehab then stop and go to the dang dr.

I just purchased a rack to catch my failed attempts and prevent me from getting squished. I love it.

I work out at a gym or I'd probably be in the market for something like that. Thanks for the rehab vid,
