I've got my running playlist for my ipod but realized I need to do a lifting playlist. what are your favorite songs/bands to listen to while lifting? These days all I get to listen to is "Wheels on the Bus" or other Fisher Price type cd's over and over and over again so I'm out of the loop.

I love "American Tragedy" (the album) by Hollywood Undead, as well as my favorite 90's alternative music. Oh, and Winger's music is also a favorite for lifting.

I have been subscribing to Spotify and also listen to the hot 100, or whatever they call it.

But I have a really varied taste in music.

I'm really into AWOLNATION, Muse, Daft Punk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Imagine Dragons, and some 3OH!3 right now, but I change things up often.

There is an album of music inspired by the Iron Man 3 movie that has some good lifting tracks.

My running and lifting playlists are pretty much the same, but the lifting I like more power versus the fast tempo songs for running.

I don't.. whatever tripe is on at the gym. I can't switch off from music, and I need my concentration for my BAMF face lol!

I tend to like heavier music while lifting, and I actually need to clean up my workout playlist and create a cario one and a lifting one. Bollywood can be ok for cardio, not so much for lifting. Anyways, I have a lot of disturbed, VNV Nation, Green Day, Seether, etc.

I like nice calm music for squatting but like, driving up tempo metal for deadlifting. And I generally just don't on the bench because its awkward. And the OHP is too technical for me right now, I just focus on that .

Hahaha me too! I have tried listening to music while lifting but I lose track of what set I'm on.

I'm a big techno/electronic music fan so that's pretty much all I listen to when I workout.
