Rookie wanting to bulk!

Hey everyone, looking for some insight from those who've been there.
After being at cutting macros and probably too low before that for almost a year, I'm finally working my way up to maintenance. I'm struggling with which to increase, carbs or fat. According to macrofit.com I should increase fat, but according to iifym.com, I should increase carbs. Any insight here?
Also, I would love to put on some muscle this winter season, but I am getting in married in May and want fluff to stay absolutely minimal. So I was thinking about using December and January for my bulk since tracking will be difficult anyway. I only hesitate because I'm not sure how much access I'm going to have to heavy gym equipment as I'm going to be on the road for almost a month. Any thoughts on trying to bulk with a lot of bodyweight/inconsistent lifting?

Welcome!
As far as calories, I'd say 1g of protein/lb of bodyweight, somewhere around 75g or so of fat, and the rest carbs. In two months you won't see a lot of muscle increase, maybe 1 lb. What might work better for you at the moment is to find your maintenance calories and eat at that while lifting (as heavy and as often as you can access). You shouldn't gain any fat (might lose a bit) and may gain a little bit of muscle (from now until May maybe 2-3 lbs. I honestly think this will be your best bet to look as amazing as possible for your wedding. You won't have to worry about cutting this way0 -
Thanks so much! I think that sounds like an excellent game plan and I am excited to see how much I can eat to get to maintenance! I'm curious as to how you got the 75g of fat number though?0

Totally agree. Maintain till the big day then go for the bulk
I agree on the 75 g fat. I tend to go with IIFYM recommendation plus a bit for luck. Don't know if this helps but I tend to stick around the same amount of protein and fat all the time - it's just my carbs that change depending on bulk, cut or maintain.0 -

Thanks for the reinforcement!! It all sounds good to me!
