Home from the hospital. Day of surgery was fine. Next day wasn't so great, feeling pain and a little nausea. Thankfully the hospital staff were right there w/meds but it still was an unpleasant day. Today got to go home. Still some pain but not enough to need meds. I'm not sure this is what I thought it would be, but my sense is I will continue to improve day by day. I'm looking forward to sleeping in bed without being woken up ever 2 hrs :)

It will continue to improve each day --- someone told me it gets 50% better each day from the last day. That seemed true for me and hope you continue to feel better each day also! Being home and resting in your own bed really helps.

It will definitely get better! I didn't even need the prescription pain meds when I got home, and I only took tylenol a couple of times the first week, then nothing for pain at all after that. Keep moving, keep drinking your water and getting your protein in, and rest when you need to. Now the fun begins :-)

I had serious buyer's remorse for about the first 4 days, then by day 5, I felt great. Each day will get better, and you'll be happy you did it. Hang in there!

Great news! The first few days are definitely the roughest. Even if you don't feel like it, walk and sip water, it will help the healing that is going on and keep you hydrated.

    Wishing you well!
