Excuses, excuses, excuses

I've always been big. I'm big boned. Well, it was just a little cookie. It's in my genetics. I didn't have time to go to the gym today.
I've heard all those excuses before...usually in my own head. But it's time to stop all that nonsense and own up to my problem. I like to eat. I don't like to exercise. That's all it is, right there in plain english. So I've decided to start again, but this time instead of the newest fad diet or drastic calorie reduction which leaves me starving, I'm going to start small. I will pick one thing each day to work on, whether it being, walking that extra 1,000 steps on my pedometer. Or eating an apple instead of the snack crackers. So here is my quest: Need some support and ideas that anyone else does to help motivate them from day to day. Come on and help a girl out, please!

Hey! I am in the same boat! Trying to get back on the wagon now because I have 60 more lbs to go.
We can do this!
My goal is to drink more water everyday (1 gallon). I also intend to start my day with 10 minutes of non-sleep quiet. I know my belly fat is due to STRESS and eating. lol!
The motivator I began using this week is an affirmation sentence for myself. Mine is "I can do all things with Christ" I am finalizing my list of goals I want to read after I say my affirmation sentence. Like: foot race my children, diabetes free, mental clarity.0 -
Love it. Yesterday I did an extra 2000 steps to meet my goal. Today I'm resisting the temptation of ice cream that I bought last night for the kiddos. LOL It won't be too bad since I'm at work most of the day anyway. So glad to see another fellow Texan who I can help and be helped along on this journey. Good luck my friend and keep your chin up and pointed in the right direction.0

So after a visit in March to my GP, I now have to take high blood pressure meds along with the thyroid meds. Great! One more step in the wrong direction. I did a symptoms check on WebMD and top of my list was the high blood pressure, followed by hypothyroidism and then diabetes. I will NOT accept this as my new lifestyle. Goal for the day...Don't skip a meal (breakfast is my worst) all day.0
