Hi guys, I've been lurking around here for awhile reading up on your experiences to try to help myself get an idea of what to expect after surgery. I just got my surgery date 12/16/14, I'm super excited but really nervous too! I wasn't expecting them to get me in so fast I guess lol I look forward to getting to know some of you better as I continue my journey :)

Congratulations on the date! Mine has been set for February 18th. I wish it was closer, but hoping to use this time to get myself in the best shape of my life for the surgery. You can also find me here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgvSAugTmyRTBm_ThLQurJg/feed

I keep making videos to document how I am feeling through this whole process. I am scared and excited, too.

Yay! The process moved so slow and then all of a sudden it went so fast it made me a bit nervous. My surgery is the 15th so we will be on the same schedule :)

Thanks guys! I feel the same way Janet! I had my first appointment in March and have been doing the supervised weight loss, then there was a delay in meeting with the psychologist but after finally seeing him, it seems like things are moving really fast! It'll be nice to have someone to talk to with a date so close to mine :)

My experience was my nerves were all over the place. I was excited, nervous, unsure, positive, everything... The surgery itself was the least of the experience and really a non-issue. The work starts the day after as you move towards your new life. Feel free to friend me if you want.

Congratulations! And same here. On the day of the surgery I was terrified because I hate being put to sleep. But, the real work does start after the surgery. Good luck.
