Hi Ladies,
I just want to introduce myself. I have been working with a trainer to learn the lifts and will start SL next Monday. I learned rows at my last session and am on my own in the gym from now on.
My goals are first to get strong and second to lose fat. I am not sure what my happy place weight-wise will be, but I expect I need to lose about 50 pounds.
I am very excited and a little nervous. :: waves at everyone:: "hi!"

And ugh! I changed my screen name from my email but the site isn't showing the change (at least to me). It should be "Southerdaisy4".0

Hi there and welcome.
I don't know anything about user names, so just gotta wish you good luck and maybe it just has a delay before the change holds over. However, also good luck on the weight loss. It can be a challenge. I've got probably around 50 to lose still, not counting the 25 I've lost so far since summer. I have done stronglifts just for a week but it's a nice challenge. Will see you around in the monthly update forums.0 -

Hi, and welcome!
Not sure how much lifting you've done in the past, but if you're just starting out, remember to ignore the scale for a while. It's going to go a little wonky the first few weeks, so don't get discouraged!

Thanks!
@ Crabada. I started with the trainer about 4 weeks ago, twice a week for an hour. I gained about 5 pounds, but lost 3 inches of my waist, 1 off my hips, 1iff my tush, and 2 off my bra band. I'll take that deal!0 -
Welcome to the group! Judging by that username, you're not planning on receiving email notifications or forgetting your password uh? lol ;P
I'm not sure what's up, but I changed my profile picture almost a week ago and it doesn't seem to show the new one after I post. MFP and their "new" forum that takes forever to load... Ha!
(Of course I say that and now my new picture shows up so what do I know?)0 -
Hi newbie, welcome! I hope you love stronglifts!0

Thanks Ladies!
@ Krokador - It's legit. I only give out it to register for sites/forums etc. so I don't spam up my regular email.0 -
Welcome! Hope you enjoy the program and the community here0
