hi ..im just back out training..2nd run after a month of rest..when i say rest i dont say it easily..i find it depressing to say the least ..im recovering from an ongoing problem with plantilar fascilitus, when it strikes it is a pain..when ive not got it i run 3 days a week 6 mile in 55 mins and between 10 -12 miles on my big run once a week..ive always run from being 11 im now 42 this problem started about 10 yr ago and flares up maybe once a year..i have advice and insteps from a good bio mechanic..i get my trainers from a running shop who use a treadmill to assess the correct trainer for your pronation..i stretch and am at a healthy weight..my casual shoes are doc martins (with insteps) just wonder is any one else a long term sufferer..if so any advice..id love to train for a marathon but i seem to have the bloody niggle anything past 12 mile and that means that i cant add extra milage for fear of this re-accuring meaning no training at all
