Does anyone know if it is compatible with my fitbit flex?
I'm expecting the new cell in a cpl weeks. Do I need to
buy something or will the dongle I use in my PC work?
Or a simple app at the google play store? Thanks for
any info.

    It should be able to sync via bluetooth to your phone with the fitbit app. However, that's optional and you can always just sync with the dongle at a PC.

    -had iphone 5s (broke)/currently using Samsung Galaxy Ace Style (cheapo Galaxy)

    I think you miss read. I had an iPhone 5s which broke and I'm using a Galaxy as a Temp replacement. However, the Galaxy is rubbing off on me, so I might upgrade to the 4 or 5 instead of going back to an iPhone.
