Any suggestions out there on a good disc wheelset for a gravel bike? I just bought a Felt V85... Good bike except for the wheels and the handlebars and stem (heavy). I intend to use the bike for both gravel and touring, so I want a wheelset that can accommodate a wide range of tires. Also wondered about tubeless v. tubes.

I have a set of Fulcrum racing quattro cx on my road bike, I am not sure if they are disk compatible. What I have found is that they are a little heavy to start with however once the you are rolling they are fantastic. No flex and the small amount of aero that doesn't hurt either.

I don't think the Fulcrums are disk compatible? I have a pair of Racing 5's and 7's on road bikes and they have been good wheels.

I bought some Boyd Altamonts this year and love them. Much, much stiffer than the Fulcrums and the wide and deep profile gives them a slight aero edge and also offers a nice wide bed for larger width tyres. They do make a disc set and at under 1700g, not bad weight wise for disc wheels, especially with a 24/28 spoke count. Pretty good value at $700 for the wheel set too. They are not tubeless ready but can easily be converted to run tubeless with something like a Stan's No Tubes kit.

Look at the offerings from Velocity and Rolf. I have a Seven Mudhoney that I'll be using for both road and CX/gravel with wheels I can easily swap on/off depending upon where I'm planning to ride. The Rolf Vigor Alpha will be mounted with slicks for the road and the Velocity Aileron with CX tires. I LOVES me my disc brakes!!
