Hi, I'm getting a Polar ft4 sports watch and HRM and I'm wondering if it's ok to use it whilst pregnant? I wonder if it will be accurate at tracking calories burned when exercising, nothing major but mainly brisk walks. Any advice appreciated!

I've worn my FT4 everyday for most of my pregnancy, I wear it while lap swimming and walking. (I stopped doing elliptical several weeks ago, but it was about as accurate as it was before I was pregnant for that.) It's stayed accurate, just remember to adjust the settings when your weight goes up/down.

I saw on the box that it and the packaging are made from materials that are known to cause birth defects in the state of CA, but it was not specific to what those were. It wasn't enough to deter me from using mine without specifics. You could look into that more if it's a concern to you. As far as anything they usually test for my baby is healthy, and my OBGYN said it was fine for me to use.
