Nobody has posted in this group for awhile, so I thought it was about time to see if anyone is still watching this group.
So... does anyone else hunt? My brother and I went out 2nd shotgun season last weekend and plan to go out again this coming weekend in Stephens Forest. The up-side is that it is a huge public hunting area. The down-side is that there are a lot of hunters there that do not follow the rules and the DNR tends to encourage them.
Anyway, I had plans Sat. morning, so I didn't get out until later Sat. We camped out in a pack-in campsite and then hunted all day on Sunday. I walked more than 12 miles on Sat. according to my Fitbit, and spent some time sitting as well. Unfortunately, we didn't get any deer, so we plan to go out again this coming weekend. It is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy nature, and maybe even put some meat in the freezer.
