Should I or Should I not sync MFP and Fitbit

I am having this issue where I love seeing my "calories burned" from fitbit into MFP, BUT when it does this it also changes the amount of MACRONTRIENTS that I specifically set for the day. Then I have a lot of math to do which is not what I want to be doing. Is there any way that I can input my exercises into MFP without it increasing the amounts of macros?

Nope. And it should be changing calorie burn too.

Best you can hope to do is minimize the amount of change, by setting MFP's activity level which is intended for no exercise, to be very close in daily calorie burn to your average TDEE with exercise.

That way you'll have minimum positive and negative adjustments.

If interested, you'll need at least 1 but best 2 weeks worth of average TDEE from Fitbit.
And this must be corrected TDEE on Fitbit site. Like if you swam 5 hrs weekly, obviously their idea of your calorie burn is way low, as with any other non-step based workout like biking, rowing, lifting, elliptical.

    Just let me know.

Otherwise, unsync it, manually correct Fitbit for workouts it is wrong about, and correct your deficit every so often on MFP eating goal based on avg Fitbit TDEE.

I averaged two weeks of TDEE from fitbit website and I got 2,464. At least 4 days a week I do strength training so I know I dont get as mch credit because I am not really taking steps (ex. squats, machines, etc). Are you saying that I should set MFP on 'sedentary' because then I will get a lot of calories burned for the day. If I put it on 'very active' then I won't get much.

I think he's saying increase your activity level so that your macros won't change as much. The only way to have them not change at all is to disconnect your accounts.

It's up to you, but I just use MFP's default fiber & protein goals as minimums and ignore fat & carbs. I lost the weight and have maintained for six months. And it's way less complicated than whatever it is you're doing.

So that is an inaccurate 2464 then, right, because you did NOT manually log strength training on Fitbit or MFP?
You are getting squat credit for calorie burn doing squats.
How many steps to do a set of 10 squats. 0.
    Calorie burn given - BMR.
Anywhere near correct? Not a chance.

If you indeed want to sync accounts and minimize changes, yes, the MFP activity level does need to be set correctly.

If you are interested, you'll needed corrected TDEE (you can go enter that weight lifting right now and get corrected stats instead of waiting 2 weeks), and the BMR that MFP is using, under Apps.

Give me those 2 figures, and I'll show which activity level to select, and about how much variance you'll get.
