Discomfort under ribs on left side

I have an area on the left side under my ribs that is uncomfortable especially when sitting. Any ideas what that could be? Maybe constipation?

    I had some discomfort and nausea about a week ago. Even water made me feel sick. For me, it was constipation. Softener might help ya.

    The first few weeks after surgery I found it much harder to lay on my left side than my right side. Laying on my left side those first few weeks was painful and I couldn't do it for long. I'm 6 weeks out now and it has passed.
