An Important Question

I want everyone to think very carefully about this question. We all love our frozen desserts; however, if you could only choose one to have for the rest of your life, would you be on Team Gelato or Team Ice Cream?
For those unfamiliar with the difference between the two, here's an article: http://sweets.seriouseats.com/2012/07/whats-the-difference-between-gelato-and-ice-cream.html
Team Gelato for the win.

Sangria Sorbet sounds like the greatest creation ever. Where can I get this?!

I think I'm going to have to go with Team Gelato. I much prefer the texture of gelato in a partially melted state to the texture of partially melted ice cream. The gelato is creamier and still has some body to it, while ice cream just goes to soup.
I may or may not have eaten an entire pint of gelato last night simply because it hit the partially melted sweet spot and it seemed like a crime to put it back in the freezer.0 -

Can't pick. It just really depends on the particular kind of ice cream or gelato. I've had fantastic ice cream, but short of Talenti, I have yet to find a very good place that sells gelato, so I really don't have any kind of comparison.
And to be totally honest... if you gave me one, I would probably be incapable of telling you if it was ice cream or gelato anyway...0 -
Gelato is just harder to find in my area. There are a few good places but it just seems a lot harder to find than the ubiquitous ice cream.0

I don't think I could pick either, but I also ate an entire pint of gelato (Talenti Belgian Milk Chocolate) because we didn't have a freezer in our hotel room. I think the meltiness made it even better. I would do it again, even with a freezer available!0 -

Can I have unlimited free airline miles to Italy to get honest-to-goodness real gelato? Or how about an unlimited pass to the dairy farms of Wisconsin for their yummy rich cream for my homemade ice-cream.
I.Just.Can't.Decide.! Don't make me! I can't!!!0
