I wasn't expecting exercise to be this hard already...

Any runner mommas here who ran through your pregnancy? I'm only 6 weeks, and I'm already struggling so bad with the exhaustion. I was running like 25 miles per week before getting pregnant. Now I'm lucky to force myself through 3 miles at a much slower pace. I know it will get better (and then worse again), but I just need some encouragement...IDK, maybe it's all just in my head.
Also, does exercise still even count if you just come home and sleep the rest of the day

I'm a runner, almost 18 weeks pregnant. I have been running 30-35 miles a week before I got pregnant, now I'm running about 25 miles a week. It is just now getting a little harder to run longer distances, and I am definitely getting slower. My doctor said I can keep running all throughout my pregnancy, as long as I feel comfortable.
A lot of times I want to give up half way through my run, but I really think it is just my head. So I stick with it and then feel so much better! I also participate in a monthly running chanenge here on MFP, so that keeps me accountable. People know I'm expecting and being sooooo supportive, so I have to keep running lol. You might want to consider joining that challenge
As long as your doc approves it and you have time and energy, keep running.0 -
I was just getting into running when I got pregnant. Rand my first 5k 2 days after getting my BFP. Running stopped like 3 weeks after that, lol.0

I'm 4 months pregnant and I am legit so exhausted all the time. I skipped going to the gym for like six weeks and then had to force myself to get back into it. I lost over 50 lbs over the past year so when I got pregnant with my second child I figured I would continue working out... But I had to skip the six weeks because any free time I had, I would forfeit the gym, and choose a nap instead lol. But once I forced myself into going back to the gym I felt a lot better... just listen to your body. If you are tired, and dont feel up for a run, just force yourself to go for a brisk walk even for 20-30 mins instead.0

Wasn't running when I found out I was pregnant because I was letting plantar fascia heal, but I was doing p90x and insanity. I had about 3 weeks where I really cut down my workouts, occasionally skipped all together and I NEVER just skipped workouts so that was difficult for me. After a few weeks I was able to start back in again. I'm now 31 weeks and still working out usually 5-6 days a week. Not doing as much insanity but still p90x and now body beast. So give yourself a break now when super tired, but still do what you can and it should get better!0

I haven't worked out since finding out I was pregnant. I just can't and I am not going to pressure myself into doing it. I can even hardly manage walking sometimes. I am fairly anemic and now on iron but for a while I would get super dizzy and light headed when standing or walking, very short of breath, and would start to sweat and then feel like I was going to pass out... Now my vagina is so sore a lot of the time it hurts to even walk! I lied in bed almost all day on New Years day in quite a bit of pain from any movement. I've only gained 21 lbs at 32 weeks, so I am pretty content with that so far. Hoping to stay under 30 lbs by delivery. I am looking forward to feeling better postpartum and getting back in to the groove of exercise (along with breastfeeding = super weight loss).. So excited! lol.0
