Just nursing a cold, which is wreaking havoc on my sleep. So am very tired today.

    Thursday Check-in:

    1. track and be green! (4/6) - interesting to watch my spouse snack the whole evening while I sipped tea and read. I am happy to say I had no desire to partake either. Pheu!

    2. 2 x strength training sessions (1/2) - today I am scheduled to go at lunch but am too tired, so this will get postponed for tomorrow

    3. walk to work everyday (4/5) - I bundled up and walked - it went fine!

    4. look for a piano instructor in the area - still haven't looked.

Hello all. So on Tuesday I did finish all of my water after all. Right before bed. Which means i was up all night going to the bathroom. Lol. Yesterday was not such a good day. I hit my head with the car door when I first got to work and had a killer headache all day. Didn't drink my water and didn't exercise. I did go to ladies driveway happy hour so I had a good time.

How is everybody doing? Are you hanging in there?

Hearts hmmmm....sleep. Total deprivation this week. Need to work part-time at my job to get enough sleep these days! Thanks for the reminder though. Fitbit is helping me realize I am a highly restless sleeper and lose an hour every night to tossing and flailing about!

la nanita I have often done the water before bed and up all night to pee! sorry you knocked a headache into you via car door - but what the heck is a "ladies driveway happy hour"?? I feel like I might be missing out on something important!

    Friday Check-in:

    1. track and be green! (5/6) - colds make it easy to stay on track!

    2. 2 x strength training sessions (1/2)- today: lower body strength training at lunch!!

    3. walk to work everyday (5/5) - I am a walking popsicle. 58km per hr winds. Brrrrrrrr.

    4. look for a piano instructor in the area - clearly not very motivated to do this while I'm sick...so I will leave it for now.

    Stay strong everyone!

Good job on tracking and checking in!! You will get back to your exercise routine. It just takes time when you have gotten out of the habit. I so understand. Have a great weekend and keep up the good work!!

Hope you are having a great weekend. Quick check in today.

I really struggled yesterday on fast foods and vending machine, but I fought the urge and this week down 10 pounds. So happy, just have to keep the ball rolling!! Last month I went back over 400 pounds and now back down to 390. I just have to find a way to keep it going. Now that I am at 390, I do not want to see those 4's again! Thanks for support!

1.) Stay in green on calories - Yes
2.) No fast foods - Yes

I'm still suffering from my cold/cough bug. Food has been pretty good, but I haven't exercised since last Sunday. I am usually pretty good about the exercise, but I'm still waiting until I feel better. I've signed up for a couple of very ambitious backpacking trips this summer so I know I will get going as soon as I'm able. I'm going to backpack the John Muir Trail 7/9 thru 8/2 and the Wonderland Trail 9/1 thru 9/11. Believe me those are some kind of motivation. I'm hoping to get this extra 20 pounds off since I'll have more than that in a backpack.

    Hello Everyone,

I am so excited with my 10 pound lost this week!!

Hitting 50 years old is a good motivation and with 30 to 40 pounds down, that will inspire me to keep it going for sure. The news of a friend of mines who is 50 already being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer helps too. She was a very healthy person too. Cancer is an enemy and no solution man can fix.

Weighing daily is one of the promises I made to myself this year. This keeps me on the right path and has worked for me over the years if I consistently make myself step on the scale no matter what. I does not work for everyone but it does for me and keeps me honest and helps me with binge streaks too.

Since I am in this group, I would like to share my blogs with you if you have time to read and feel welcome to friend me if you are looking for more support:

If you don't have time I so understand because I know our time is very precious.

Have a good week and thanks for being here!!

Mini Goals week 1/5 to 1/11:
1.) Stay in green on calories - Did not
2.) No fast foods - Had some fast foods
3.) No vending machine snacks at work - Not at work

    Saturday Check-in:
    1.) 4/7
    2.) 4/7

Thanks for all the encouraging words ladies. Checking in everyday and reading everyone's post has really help me keep on track with my food. I know the exercise will come, just need to decide what to do. Once I get started I know I will stick with it as I feel fantastic after I have done a workout even if it is just a short easy workout.

Karen and Julie, so sorry you are both sick :\ Hope you feel better soon!

I had more trouble than I was expecting jumping back on the wagon this week after a week's vacation in Florida. Did manage to get in my exercise and was close to goal in my water as the week went on, but went over my calories frequently and didn't make my protein goal as much as I hoped. I think I was over ambitious and will focus on fewer goals next week and then add one more each new week.

    Hi ladies,
Good luck with everything. I am sorry I was so busy last week getting ready to be off that I did not check in. Now in Florida and will board later today. I will drop off for the next couple of weeks. I know you all can work on your goals and stay strong.

Have a blast in Florida Julie! I love the beaches there! Walking those beaches is my favorite thing to do there and helped some to burn off extravvacation calories :)
