Yeah that's one of the sucky thing about having PCOS weight loss can be difficult. After going on Metformin I found it much easier to get the weight off since I was no longer constantly hungry. I also eat a diet low in processed carbs, higher in protein and higher in fat. I also do a good amount of working out too. Good luck with trying to loose weight.

I'm also doing higher fat, higher protein, lower carbs diet. And I have NO added sugar. Ever. Only natural sugar and I keep that as low as possible without giving up valuable nutrients. I also stopped eating gluten. I have had no issues losing weight since I changed my diet. I think with PCOS you have to accept that you can't eat like a normal person. That just won't work for us.

I totally agree that we have to accept that we can't eat like others. I have found that accepting it has been much easier, when I tell people I can't have things because of being insulin resistant I don't get the pushy one bite won't hurt you.

I do the same thing, and have also found it easier to give things up once I started telling people why.

It's most definitely challenging. So easy to gain it - more so that someone who is not IR - but SO SO hard to take it off. You just need to constantly remind yourself how bad you want this, even though you know it's going to be a long, hard road. We're stronger than this junk. We got this!!

yeah i always went on high carb diets till my new doctor told me this year that i have IR PCOS and that i should try low carb eating. She also put me on metformin and finally i am dropping lbs without starving without feeling miserable without feeling like i am on a diet. I cut out pretty much all bread, rice, potatoes, pasta around 4 months ago sometime i miss them then i have a little potato or some noodles but i dont even like the taste anymore. I prefer veggies and fruits so much more now and even eat and like veggies i always hated before
