( The main part of this post are the lines at the bottom, the top is just a little back ground to get you there)

So, I started on MFP last July, after having major surgery.
I have always tried to be healthy and active, even more so the last 2 years. My youngest son and did exercise challenges (he,s 16 ATM) I'd do 50 walking lunges, he'd do 50 and 10 more, so I had to meet his "+10", then if I did an extra 10' he would have to match that....

That sort of exercise challenge.

It was not daily or consistent, but once a week at least.
After my surgery and recovery, I got serious and in October I did 10 weeks of Bodyweight workouts (You are Your Own Gym) and had my 2 high school boys join me. The end of that is when we discovered my 16 yr old has severe scoliosis and has been going through painful and annoying back brace therapy. I Took a couple month break, then started SL5x5 and again had my two boys join in.

***
Yesterday was my 16 yr old's 3rd day. He told me, afterwards:
"Thanks for having me workout! I have always kinda wanted to lift weights and get buff and stronger, but wasn't sure what to do."

Made me SMILE and makes me satisfied to be doing this even if I don't end up with the body I hope it makes.

It's a great gift you are giving your boys - pride in what their bodies can do for them!

thanks! I just wish the 19 yr old would join us. He sleeps all day and plays on the computer all night. at 6'4" and 8.5% body fat, he thinks he doesn't need exercise.
