I haven't incorporated exercise since my Nov. 12 surgery till today. I joined Curves. I have been a member there before and really like the circuit training, that it's all women, that it is temperature controlled (I live where it's frigid all winter) and the social factor as well.
I met with my old coach there today to register and then after being weighed and measured we went around the circuit so she could show me the proper way to position myself on each machine.
Another thing I love about Curves is that once they observe and correct your positioning on the machines to make sure you are doing them properly, they insert a chip to gather data of your performance. It measures not only repetitions on each machine but also intensity, showing how hard you are working each muscle group and how many calories you burn on each individual workout. They program your information into their computer so you have a baseline to measure future progress on. Once I've been through the circuit a few times and they gather my data, I will actually be able to check my stats and calories burned not only at the club but also off my home computer. I find that very exciting because I will be able to enter how many calories I burn at each particular workout and enter it in for my exercise on MFP.
Perhaps many of you women know this already but for those who don't it might interest you if you are looking for a form of exercise.
I was thrilled to be down -3.6 today and a total of 71 since I started my journey last February.
I can't thank you all enough for encouraging me when times got tough with my first, long stall.
I can't imagine where I'd be without all the support I get on this site. Love you guys.

That is wonderful! Congratulations! Keep progressing the weights regularly, do not be afraid to raise them... the last rep or two should be a bit of a struggle...
So happy for you! You are doing everything wonderfully0 -
