Hi everyone. Just thought I'd say a quick hi, one of the lovely members told me there was a gluten free group. I'm so excited to meet fellow members who are gluten free and trying to lose weight. I've been blessed to meet two members previously to this group. I'm a SAHM of 4 kids, we have MANY food allergies (not as many as others I'm sure) including gluten free. I have Celiac Disease, and have been gluten free for 5yrs in June. My oldest has Asperger's and is gluten and casein free. My youngest has the MOST food allergies in the house, and 99% of our meals and snacks are geared so that it's safe for him. He's gluten, dairy, egg and peanut free. My 3rd child's lactose allergy has turned into more of a dairy allergy, No HFCS and since both he and I have ADHD we follow a program called the Feingold Diet (NO dyes, NO artifical, NO preservatives). We do incorporate some Paleo dishes, but I'm not ready to restrict our lives even more...my kids have been for the most part very receptive. Thankfully my oldest son is the only one that doesn't have any food allergies, and can walk down to the local pizza place and get his regular unhealthy pizza from time to time, so as a teenager he's good. ;-)

My husband works for one of the Railroad companies, and is gone 75% of the time during the week, which is okay. He tends to get more frustrated with the restrictions I have in place for the household, but I like to remind him, that since he's on the road all the time - he can eat all the unhealthy junk he wants too. ;-)

Today is the last day of the school year, so it will be interesting how I will manage 3 bottomless pits this summer. RFOL!

Hi and welcome to the group.

My eldest also has ASD but no dietary restrictions - have two with dairy though. I also have a bunch of food allergies along with Coeliacs.
