Jan 12th goals

Today my goals are:
1. stay within calories and carbs
2. fold laundry
3. get a workout in when i get out of work
4. figure out where i went wrong last week.

    My goals for today are:
    • Drink at least 12 cups of water
    • 3 miles
    • 11,000 steps

    I had a good weekend where I exercised both days (a good workout on saturday and a moderate on sunday, as I was lifting this morning), and I cooked a lot: I roasted some portugese chicken and made a broth with the bones, so we will eat a good thai soup during the week, then I cooked another chicken tandoori style with homemade 9 grains naan, and I did a beef red curry with some chuck roast that was in special, so my week is almost planned.

    My only fail was my major diet break on Friday night, but I think that I did make up for it during the weekend.

    Today, I'm going to a black metal show (no *kitten*, it was a birthday gift for my husband, and he was like: hey, you bought the tickets, you have to come with me!) that will probably be quite unsettling, so I'm planning a complete rest day tomorrow to recover from my emotions. :P

    Here are my goals for today

    1) Log accurately everything I can, and be wise with my food choices at the restaurant tonight (that should be easy 'cause we're going to my favorite ramen place where I can order a "salmon and salmon bowl" which consists in two different kind of raw salmon with salad and rice, and I love it!)
    2) Workout! - DONE, I made Stronglifts 5x5 - Workout A this morning.
    3) Drink water and tea to prevent blowing from my japanese food tonight

    I have the dentist again later today (root canal this time) so I already know its going to be a very light day for both eating and exercise. So todays goals are simple

    1. drink 12 glasses of water
    2. put all the boxes of christmas items back in the basement
    3. get to bed early

    Ah, I'm still stuck fluctuating around 150 lbs, so I've decided to revamp my diet. I will refocus on eliminating processed carbs (I've been caving a lot lately) and more fully eliminate them through limiting my beer consumption. This week I will only drink 4 beers. This includes Thursday movie night, Friday happy hour, and a get together I'm planning for Saturday. 4 beers is reasonable.

    I will also run 10 miles this week, which I will track through STRAVA.

    So last week I did good about getting back on track with exercise but not so much with food. I logged everything but still didn't do good on my choices so this. Week I am hoping to do good with both.

    Today I want to
    1) drink plenty of water
    2) log my food
    3) stay within my calories(don't go over)
    4) no candy,cake,donuts,cookies ( I had a major sweet tooth last week)
    5)go for a run after work

    This week I want to
    1) run 12 miles this week( I didn't quite make it last week)
    2) stay at the top of the fitbit challenge I am part of this week
    3) finish the last book in the series I have been reading finally.

    It's funny, but I feel like for a few months I've been struggling a bit with the food and (mainly) calories but making up for it with lots of exercise (usually more than planned). In the last week I seem to be back to where I was last March when I first joined the holiday challenges, finding the food part no problem but struggling to get my workouts in. This week's goal is to figure out a way to fit in all my planned workouts or a reasonable substitute, no matter what, starting with my swim this evening.

    Today's goals are simple, then:

    1) Swim (or alternative cardio if that's not possible)
    2) Log well and stay within my calories (and meet my protein and veggie goals)
    3) Go to bed at an hour that allows me to get at least 6 hours of sleep
    4) Stop drinking coffee after I finish the cup I'm currently on!
