I am now 2months post op and I feel as if my weight loss is already slowing. I am feeling overwhemling discouraged since I am exercising and eating the right things for the most part. Is it supposed to slow down already I really liked losing 7 pounds a week

Those first months when the weight just seems to fall off are awesome, but things do slow down, based on a lot of different factors. I am sure the amount of weight you are losing now is still more than you were losing on your own, right? You are doing great, and you are going in the right direction!0

Ok.... so yeah the slow down can be a bummer, but here is the thing-- IDK abot you, but I did this for LIFE--- so the changes we make, the accomodations and such will have to be learned over weeks and weeks--- the more time you have to make and grow accustomed to those adjustments, probably the more likely it is you will keep the weight off. Hang in there, just keep doing the next right thing--- you will get to where you want to be.0

Rome wasn't built in a day... or whatever that saying is. Don't be discouraged. I am 2 mos out too, and my weight is not falling off overnight like it was initially, but no on promised us instant gratification. I think coming off slowly is to give us a chance to make this our lifestyle and make it our new normal. If it came off really fast, we wouldn't learn. It will happen for you, have faith.0

I know this sounds easier said than done, but don't pay attention to weight loss, just let it go. A lot of things are going on with your body, and weight is not always going to show your success. Just have faith that your team has a plan for you to follow, and it will work.0

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I really need them. I think I'm gonna pur the scale up for a little while and just focus on the daily task of making the right choices.0

Other than the 1st week post-op the weight has not fallen off for me…..now, granted I am only 7 weeks postop, but I am pretty sure this is going to be a slow, plodding process with success measured like that old inchworm song. I'm mostly good with that but it can be frustrating. I think putting the scale away is a good idea-focus on you and on making the right choices bite by bite, meal by meal, and day by day. You got this!0

Initially my weight loss was really good by my standards. Then I hit a stall at 9 months out and it never went back to coming off like it did. Even though I've lost 164 pounds so far, most of it has come off very slowly, but that's OK. At least it's till coming off. I understand you want it gone quickly, me too, but this is a journey, not a race. As long as it's coming off, it can't matter too much how fast. You are doing great!0
