I am setting sail for a 7 day cruise aboard the Carnival Conquest on April 27th 2014 from Miami Florida.
It goes to Nassau Bahamas, St. Thomas USVI, San Juan Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk.
I am super excited! This will be my second cruise. I know its still pretty far out but I am a one of those people who have to plan things months and months in advance because I change my mind so often.

You will love San Juan, Nassau and St Thomas. Wet there on one of our Caribbean cruises.
We fly 25 hours..eek! To Australia in November to get the Celebrity Millennium. Went on her a few years ago, but not since the big solsticisation renevation. So should be a treat as I love the solstice class.
The cruise is 17 nights around Australia, to Bali and to Singapore, where my brother lives. So we get a local tour guide in him.
We have a few days in Sydney before getting the ship the day ater my birthday and the cruise is our belated honeymoon. We got married in Vegas last December. So this is the biggest cruise we have been on yet an I'm already giddy and looking at old dailies, you tube videos, menus and photos.

I know the feeling. I think I am driving my friend nuts with all of the chatter about cruises. I have linked him about 500 videos to watch about the Conquest, How to smuggle alcohol aboard *blush*, Pictures of the ship, Cute outfits to wear while on board, excursions, Pictures of the ports....
He is really going to kill me by the time we leave for our cruise.

Snap. My husband tends to have about a week after booking where he's excited and then it drops for quite a while, whereas my excitement never does. I have a countdown at work already and lists of things to pack. Already bought some new dresses..a size too small to keep me going on the diet.

In fact. I'm sitting watching the ships in port Everglades and the port of Miami right now on the live webcam as I have a read and relax. I waste hours watching sailaways. Nice to see though.

We will be on the 10-day Grand Princess cruise to Alaska in a little over 8 weeks. We are spending 3 nights in San Francisco, and will be going to the ports of Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, and cruising Glacier Bay. It's our 7th cruise.

We are booked on Voyager of the Seas from Tianjin China on 8 October and then Barcelona TA to New Orleans on November 1. Eight week holiday as we are from Tasmania. Both are 16 nights and I have been driving my husband crazy for a while now, just 4 months to go. We are also planning more for next year wi friends. So MFP is my constant companion. I hate weighing myself though as when I lose 6 kilo it all stops.

I'm going on my first river cruise from amsterdam to Budapest next may. I've been on 4 ocean cruises before but since we love europe we wanted to try something new. My husband and daughter did a China river cruise last year and loved it. I'm starting this weight loss journey so I can fit into my cruise wear and be able to do all the walking on my tours.

When in st Thomas you have to try BOB if they still have it. They are underwater scooters with a big helmet contraption that keeps your head dry. Sooo much fun!

You will have to tell us all about your trip when you return. I would love to go Australia but I'm terrified of snakes and spiders ????. Maybe it's safer on a ship ????

I'm not great with spiders either. Love snakes, but not poisonous ones. I prefer America and te Caribbean but husband has always wanted to see Australia. I have to say though that if I see any big bugs that look scary on the ship or our hotel I'll be writing a very angry letter ;) I think it'll be fine. We saw our fair share of them when stranded in a jungley bit of Dominica a few years ago. So I just have to remind myself of that. They're all over the Caribbean and we survived there three times. Hopefully this will be no different. I should probably be more concerned about bitey and stingy things in the water when we snorkel and scuba.

I know very little about river cruises. Friends of mind from cruise critic are going on one shortly. Are the ships the same as cruise ships but on a smaller scale or completely different? It is a stupid question but I really don't know.

The ships are a lot smaller. Ours holds only 166 passengers. There's not all of the entertainment, pools, bars and casino either. I think it's a different but interesting way to travel. Lots of walking tours but then you get to sit and maybe drink some wine while travelling down the river through different villages. Something new to try.
  • We are headed to Alaska in just under 7 weeks! I was really close to my maintenance weight, but decided to lose a couple extra in anticipation of this upcoming cruise and visit to Seattle.

So close I can taste it!

Dec 1st 2013 Carnival Conquest. Miami to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman. Been wanting to go Caribbean ever since my daughter and I did west coast Mexico 13 years ago. It will be the last family vacation before my two daughters head off to college. I booked in Nov 2012 and have pretty much been obsessed since. 82 days and counting.

Feb. Freedom out of Miami to St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau. I hope it's warm enough in Feb to enjoy the water.
