Does It Matter?

A calorie is a calorie, right? No matter where you get it from, right?

Because though I know I shouldn't freak with carbs, I still do.

But at this point, I'm desperate. I need to gain weight. Fast. Not like 5 pounds in a week fast, but like 2 pounds a month fast.

I have barely gained 1 lb this month, I think.

And I'm supposed to have my period by now. Or at least by January 30th.. Or is it 31st?

I can get up there easy peasy with more fat macros, but the thing is, I talked to a woman who competed, and she suggested higher carbs and lower fats for weight gain…

So, now I'm confused!

I mean, I'm wanting to compete someday and now this woman who has is giving me advice, but I can't take it to heart because I'm scared of carbs?! How messed up is that… To put it in other words, I'm just plain lost.

And could use some friendly advice again, haha. Because that's me… I can never get enough! Not sure how to check back on here on my phone, so it'd be awesome if you could PM me some advice, but otherwise, I'll pull up my laptop later on this evening to read your responses!

Thanks all and happy bulking, because I'm finally on that wagon! Netting 2100!

For what it's worth, I find it really hard to hit my carb goal - not because I'm afraid of them but just because I tend towards eating more protein and fat :/

I don't find it hard to hit my calorie goal, I'm just usually short 50 or so Grammes of carbs - I go way over fat so it ekes itself out.

I could kill myself trying to get less fat and more carbs to get optimum gains but I'd be miserable so, is it worth it?

I've set minimum protein and fat goals - these stay roughly the same if I'm gaining or cutting. It's no biggie if I hit carbs, as long as the scale's going up. As long as you have enough energy for your workouts I wouldn't sweat the macros too much on your bulk.
