Hi all!

My name is Yajaira, but call me yaya for short. I am brand new to the whole changing my "diet" plan. I mean, not that I have never tried dieting before, but since I am starting fresh, with a new approach to dieting, I am going to make myself new to losing weight!

I have started my change for about two weeks and  3 days. Hey, I have to start somewhere, no? It has been only two weeks and it is really hard! Who am I kidding, the whole eating "clean," "lean," "green"...blah...blah...blah... can be really hard. I have tried it all, trying to cut carbs and sugar cold turkey, joining weight watchers to buying pills and shakes; heck I have even drank chinese dieter's tea! Nothing has worked! Well, let me be realistic, I have never really stuck through a program or diet regime for that long to actually see crazy results. I have miserably failed at these gimmicky products and ideas.

We have to be real here, losing all that weight that has crept up to you for years is not going to magically go away by morning.

So, what made me change? What made me want to embark in this new lifestyle change? Yes, it is a lifestyle change. I mean, it has to be a lifestyle change and not just some diet for it to work! I am confident that this way of dieting, will work this time! I have already lost 5 pounds! More than I have ever lost drinking Herbalife!

I wanted a change because I have hit rock bottom! I was a size 14 and have gone up to a size 22 in 4 years! I am not someone who has a low self esteem, so I do not see myself that big. But I am big and lets be honest, I am morbidly OBESE! I said it! I am O-B-E-S-E!

So, what is the trick? I have always wanted the trick, the secret to losing weight. The trick or secret is that their is really no trick or secret to lose weight. You don't have to cut carbs and all the "bad" stuff that tastes soooo good cold turkey to lose weight. With moderation and counting calories, losing weight is possible.

I love carbs! Who doesn't love carbs? I find it so difficult to cut carbs out of my diet completely. I love deep fried and fatty foods. Who doesn't love french fries and burgers? Or that bagel with cream cheese for breakfast?

You can have anything you want and still lose weight. All you have to do is a little work. Just count your calories!  Find alternative to satisfy that craving!

I love carbs, oh wait, I already mentioned that. I loved my bagel in the morning. I still have it just in an alternative way. I found 100 calorie bagel thins! They look like bagels and taste like bagels without the full 250+ calorie guilt.

Food alternatives are great! I still have that cheat snack and have managed to lose weight. It's not mainly what you eat, it is how much. For example, today, there was ice cream at the office. I had some and I added it to my calorie count. The difference this time, was that I only had the suggested serving on the label. 1/2 a cup of ice cream was 120 calories. I satisfied my craving and I did not feel deprived.

I love this new lifestyle! It seems easy and I will strive to keep pushing myself!

Please share your goals and weight loss experiance. What made you want the change? Any one motivated you?

Love,

Yajaira!
