Hello everyone!

I do not check-in regularly, so I wanted to share something personal about my experience in this group. As of this past milestone I have lost 3lbs. I am only about 18% complete with my goal of loosing 17lbs; which is equivalent to 1lb per week. When I first updated my weight, I browsed through the rest of the entrants and felt upset when I noticed that there were some individuals that have completed 30% or more of their goal.

Then I took a closer look and noticed that there were others with my same goal that had made similar progress. Also, a few of the individuals that have lost a higher percentage of weight had lost 10lbs in the first week or had a smaller goal of weight loss. In contrast, there also about the same number of individuals that have gained weight. Furthermore, I noticed that a handful of people in the group have either not updated their weight or have not lost any weight.

Some of us are here to loose 5-15lbs, while others want to loose 30-50lbs. We all live different lifestyles and have unique experiences. It is important to not loose focus of our own goals. What is important is that we are all here for our health. Over the next 88 days we will all face challenges; I hope to hear many success stories after this event is complete, but I also know there will be individuals that do not meet their goals. Everyone who participates should be be proud of the progress they have made.

As I have mentioned before, feel free to add me. I have an open dairy, login at least once a day, and make an effort to comment or like my friend's statuses as well as leave motivational messages.

Cheers!
Angel

I agree, when looking through the stats, it's important to keep the goal to lose in sight when comparing percentages. I only have a few pounds left to go, vanity pounds actually. So my percentages could look higher but only because I have less to lose. Not because I am doing super amazing things and dropping weight like crazy. I'm not I am aiming for 1/2 lb per week. So please don't get discouraged by only looking at percentages look at the whole equation.
Everyone will go through this at their own pace and as long as you are trying hard then that is half the battle. Stay focused, stay positive stay active.

Ditto - Well said -- everyone is different and I don't look at anyone as competition..just for inspiration and ideas -- and I have been blessed with both!
