Hi everyone! I had to scour the groups to find you guys, but I found you! Yay!
I'm trying to lose the final 10 after being on a plateau for years following a 40 pound loss.

I am having two issues while reading Chris's book. I love Chris, and I'm enjoying the book, but I am a group fitness instructor. I teach 2 hours of classes 6 days a week. That's a lot of calories. So I'm having a hard time figuring out which days to make low carb, as I will need carbs to do all of this cardio. Plus 1200-1500 is so so low, that I'm afraid my performance will be severely compromised. I had actually never seen the calorie goals until I bought the books, and to be honest....carb cycling or not....eating that little is going to make you lose, right? Not sure it has anything to do with carb cycling? :#

I want to try something new, and I like the science behind this program. I'm just trying to figure out how it can work for me. Anyone else do a lot of exercise? How have you made this work for you? Which program are you on? Thanks everyone!

There is a fit cycle in the book. I think that is what it is called. You do 2 day carb 1 low carb 2day carb and then 1low carb again.

I just realized that I've been doing it all wrong. I was thinking high carb days on cardio days (which are most of my classes unfortunately) since I need energy...but have now read that you should go high carb on lifting days and low carb on cardio? I'm afraid I'd run out of steam.
  • Ive been doing the carb cycling for months now. I follow the fit cycle., doing martial arts 3 days week and p90x, x2, everyday. I find loe carb days challenging, but some nuts or protein gets me thru. Experiment and see what works
