Hey, UK MFPals!

I recently joined after losing over 100 lbs with Noom Pro. Still have at least the same to lose again. Decided to join because I felt like I was missing out on a much better in-app community.
Abridged back story: ended up ridiculously overweight after an industrial accident put me in a tailspin.
Here now to build a base of friends for mutual motivation and to share in one another's success...
Get in touch.
Cheers,
Gibb

Welcome on board Gibbo, impressive work so far and it would be good to know your challenges in losing the first 100?0

Cheers, Mr Wobbly. Glad to be here.
Even though I was in a mess physically, I think it was 90% mental. Since the penny dropped on the fact that you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight, or force yourself to workout before you're ready, it has been relatively plain sailing
Previously impatience had been my enemy, and denial to some extent. I just wanted it over and done with so I could resume my old life as quick as possible.
After finally accepting that it'll take as long as it takes, I let go of my expectations. Ironically, since then the weight loss has been as quick as I'd ever hoped for.0 -
I know what you mean about the patience, when you start it's like "I've eaten salads for two weeks so why am I not thin?"0

Hah! Yea, that's why I went down the volumetrics route. "Not enough weight loss AND I'm starving? Hell no!"0
