My lactose intolerance has got worse in recent months so I've recently gone completely DAIRY FREE!! I'm also soya intolerant so that's not a good substitute for me.
It would be useful to get tips from another UKI based dairy and soya free MFP user.
Here are some tips I've learnt so far:
Finally, my TOP TIP for anyone with digestive issues is a new 'precision biotic' called Alflorax. I've been taking it about a month now and my digestion is so much better (although I've also made a bunch of other changes!).

It would be useful to get tips from another UKI based dairy and soya free MFP user.
Here are some tips I've learnt so far:
- Unsweetened almond milk. For a comforting hot chocolate alternative, heat in the microwave and add either a teaspoon of minuka honey or EVEN BETTER a dash of amaretto or frangelico!
- There's a new range of dairy free chocolate called "Moo Free" - made from rice milk - they have good child size bars which are about 100 cals each. Choices chocolate orange buttons area also good
- Olive oil is my new friend. I used to be a butter-fiend but am getting really into olive oil now
- Pure sunflower spread for crackers (though i now use olive oil for any bread - though of course am cutting down on bread)
- Green tea (which doesn't need milk) instead of regular tea (still get my caffeine fix AND a dose of antioxidants)
- Make my own homemade soups instead of buying soups - message me for recipes
- I've upped my fruit n veg intake
Finally, my TOP TIP for anyone with digestive issues is a new 'precision biotic' called Alflorax. I've been taking it about a month now and my digestion is so much better (although I've also made a bunch of other changes!).
