Does anyone take Chia Seeds? I took them about a year ago for a week straight however stopped becaused (sorry to be so blunt), my IBS got out of control. I am on better medication for my IBS and it's sort of controlled, however, I wanted to know if anyone is taking it and also any benefits you see with it and if you liked it.
I used to put my chia seeds in my coffee or tea, however found out that it was gross slurping those down and it made me gag (yuck!).
If you do use it, what do you put it in?

I have some but honestly I didn't see/feel much of a difference so I stopped using them. I just mixed them in a 20 oz bottle of water & would shake frequently so it doesn't end up as one big clump.0

I used them this Christmas, I spread them on a clay head, they didn't sprout. Yep call me a goofball.0

I eat them every day! I chia and have my whole office addicted to them - we sing ch-ch-ch-chia everytime too! lol I mostly eat them for breakfast b/c I find they keep me way full. You just have to be sure to drink plenty of water with them. If you get tummy problems from them, you need to hydrate them first. This breaks them down, so your body doesn't have to do all that work. Soak them in water over night in the fridge to make chia gel (sounds great, don't it!) then mix it in w/e you like from yogurt to protien drinks. Every morning I eat greek yogurt with non-hydrated chia sprinkled into it and maybe some almonds. You can buy milled chia (ground) to mix into beans, sauces, etc. for extra fiber and protein. My bf eats everytime I cook lentils and doesn't even know..hehe0
