    Not a quote, but I like diet and exercise books while flying (good when I can't concentrate enough for fiction, heh), so finally read Fat Loss Happens on Monday, which I actually quite liked. I might write a bit more about it when I get my energy back. It was nice because the author's way of thinking about all this was generally similar to mine, back at the beginning, so I found it getting me all excited and motivated again after having been somewhat burnt out.

    (I currently really just want to go back to the beach and eat whatever I want after riding my bike enough miles to justify it, but I'll get over that. Well, probably.)

    I want to hear about biking in Hawaii, Stephanie! Sounds like a dream! Going backpacking with my youngest daughter on our favorite national seashore next week. Praying it won't rain on us too much, but if so, that'll mean we are just working a bit harder to carry our load, which means we can munch on granola with abandon (my fantasy!). Haha!

    OMG, I would love to bike in Hawaii. I'm planning a biking trip to Cuba next year, but Hawaii would be equally nice. I hope you had fabulous holidays.

    It was amazing! Cuba sounds great too. I now want to bike so many places. ;-)

    The backpacking trip sounds so fun also. There's a backpacking group locally that I keep meaning to check out. It was something we did as a family when I was growing up, but I don't know anyone locally currently (including my sister) who wants to backpack.

    Wow, Hawaii, Cuba, hiking, biking ... I am jealous. It's raining in my world and it looks like ice/snow by the end of my work day. Maybe next week, the weather will clear up.

    We got snow today. Hopefully this is it for us as far as snow and ice goes. We are supposed to get up into the mid sixties this weekend. I am going to lay outside and soak up the sun for as long as I can. I have missed it so much!
