Hi people,

If you are used to MFP and doing your thing and everything is working well then don't bother with this post. However, if you are new and still trying to figure out the best way to lose weight, get in shape, how many calories to eat then I would recommend some things.

First, read... with judgment.

There is a lot of informations on MFP some are good some are... much less good.
There a lot of myths about weight loss, it's a big money industry, lots of people want to lose weight, lots of people will want to take advantage of that offering shiny solutions.

Losing weight is not "hard" in itself. But you need to be willing to do it and it doesn't happen fast. (I mean if you want to lose weight and keep it off)

And go around the forum, read the sticky posts out there, there is a lot to learn.

Then, BE PATIENT and dont be to hard on yourself.

That's it! This group is about sharing, support, motivation and we are here to help each other. I just think it's easier to succeed if you have the right tools.
