Blue app or purple app?

I started using the purple app (no device needed) while I waited for my UP24 to come in the mail. I'm now going to start using the blue (device needed) app, but when I log in, my info doesnt transfer. Is all my data lost? Granted it was only a couple days... but still! Can the 2 connect?
