anyone else's playing up?
have my daily calorie set to 1820
first thing this morning, before doing anything, it is showing as -660 exercise, so remaining calorie is 1160......
shows as Fitbit calorie adjustment, based on your measured activity
thing is after inputting my details, I have already set it to lose weight, thus the 1820 daily calories, if I then follow what it is saying now, I will be eating far too little
on Feb 8th
goal 1820
food 1692
exercise 620
remaining -492
fitbit calorie adjustment -620
the more I exercise, the greater the negative adjustment....
surely the remaining should be positive not negative considering I ate less than my goal and then exercised thuse earning more calories.....
this is fitbit only, have been using my iphone and it shows the adjustment correctly
take Feb 18th
goal 1820
food 1978
exercise 272
remaining 114
mfp ios calorie adjustment 272
negative adjustments is enabled

Right, so in the morning the fitbit calorie adjustment is negative. What hapens after logging your exercise and syncronising the fitbit at the end of the day?0

I syncronise all day when there is a connection either gprs or wifi and manually, so I know how many callories I can still eat, or if I am over, how much I need to burn
this is 19 Feb, I have been deleting that negative adjustment, so will need to wait till tomorrow
goal 1820
food 2130
exercise 56
remaining -366
fitbit adjustment -56
as you see, it should be -254 remaining, but instead of adding it to the remaining it is taking it away making it -366
if I remove the fitbit adjustment, then the calculation is correct
1820 - 2130 = -310
-310 + 56 = -254
if I leave it, then it is adding to it making it -366
it used to be fine until a week or so ago, and like I said, if I use the iphone, it is fine
if I untick the enable negative adjustment in settings, then all is fine, but I had that ticked before
I think I might just untick it and leave it at that, I know it says untick if you sync late at night etc and that I sync all day when possible, but it is doing my head in
just had another look
for today, it is now saying
goal 1820
food 0 not logged anything yet
exercise -659
remaining 1161
fitbit adjustment -660
if I then add an exercise burning 660 calories, it then shows exercise 1 and remaining as 1821
if I change that exercise to burning 1000 calories, it then shows exercise 341 and remaining 21610 -
What is your MFP Activity level set to?
And what is the daily burn MFP is estimating without exercise at that level for you?
Under Goals - calories burned in daily activity.
Here's how it works though.
Fitbit reports the calorie burn at whatever time, say noon. Say 1200.
MFP makes that into an adjusted daily calorie burn, by adding on what it estimates you'd burn for rest of the day per it's number, say 2000 total.
12 / 24 hrs = 50% of day left x 2000 MFP estimated daily burn = 1000 more + 1200 Fitbit burned so far.
2200 Fitbit adjusted daily burn - 2000 MFP estimated daily burn - any exercise it knows about say 400 = -200 calorie negative adjustment.
Eating goal say 1500 - 200 adjustment + 400 exercise = 1700 eating goal.
If that is not happening with your data, then it's not syncing somewhere correctly.
First confirm the Fitbit daily burn as shown in "i" on calorie adjustment matches what Fitbit says daily burn is.
