Good, bad, and ugly for the week

I feel like I did pretty well until the weekend, which was a little rough emotionally, and I ended up eating more Oreos and movie-theatre popcorn than I should have. How was everyone else's week?

  • My week in summary...a train wreck! Somehow I manage to gain a good 5-10lbs in phases 2-3 of my cycle and I've been having a horrible time working it off during phase one even when my diet stays the same. Ash Wednesday involved an amazing carb loaded Tuna Casserole with a side of homemade bread but I'll probably be paying for it for weeks even though it was my only "meal" of the day. Sunday my in-laws came for dinner and the appetizers, wine, and extra cups of coffee with LOTS of creamer also took their toll.

I might be back on track now but we'll see what the rest of the week holds.
  • I actually had a good week (ducks). Well, except for getting into a stupid argument with my husband. I'm sure it helps that I gave up snacking for Lent.

Had a great week last week! Managed to lose 5lbs

Hoping to do a repeat this week!
  • I'm late on this, but I need some encouragement so I'll post anyway. :). I did great for a week or two and managed to gain 2 pounds---so discouraging! It was phase 2/3, so maybe I'll see some loss over the next week? I hope so. I'm starting to think I might have thyroid issues, too. I decided to log back in today and not give up so quickly. I really want this and want to improve my health and feel better about my body, so I have to just keep on trucking.

Don't forget that it takes an excess of around 3500 calories to put on ONE pound of fat. So if you see the scale going up in a short amount of time, it's extremely unlikely you're putting on actual fat. Your weight can fluctuate up and down several pounds in a single day. I can put on 5+ pounds overnight just from too much sodium.
