I met a Karhu rep last week and ending up winning a new pair of the Karhu Strong5s.
I hadn't heard of Karhu until September when a friend got fit for a pair.
I brought them to physical therapy this morning and my PT likes the way I run in them but she's also never heard of them. When I mentioned winning the shoes on MFP, some of my friends here also hadn't heard of them.
I'm just curious if anyone in this group has heard of them and run in them...
They aren't a new company, been around for almost 100, sold their old logo to Adidas in the late 20s, early 30s which is the logo Adidias still uses kinda.
The Karhu guy is asking for my feedback and so far my biggest one is better advertising lol

I've heard of them but have never tried their shoes. They had a booth set up at the finish line of a trail race I did in 2011. The only reason I remember them is because it was a really bad winter storm (hail, rain, wind, cold) and a friend had to drag me out of their tent to start the 2nd lap of our marathon because I was parked in front of their heater.0

That's cute!
I posted a similar question on the main boards and it seems to be a general consensus of "Who?"
The rep just texted me the next two colors coming out of the Strong 5s. I'm liking these shoes so far and if I continue to like them, I'll replace them with the new colors coming0 -

I wore karhus for a year back when I first started getting really dedicated to running. I used the Flow model and I did like it. My husband has since tried a Strong and he has really disliked it due to two problems: weight and he felt the fulcrum, this time around, was trying to force his gait to conform to the shoe, which just was not working out for him.0
