Bruised Tailbone...

Last week I fell while hiking and landed on a tree root. I ended up bruising my tailbone area. It seemed fine after the first couple days (pain scale <1 out of 10), I did Warrior Dash on Saturday, and went to lift today. I decided to test it out with some low weights and started squatting. It felt like it was on fire! I also tried a really light deadlift and it still hurt, but not as bad.
Should I just stick with the other moves for a few weeks? Do you have any suggestions for replacement movements?

I would say let it rest and sit on an icepack. :flowerforyou:
Does it hurt to do body weight exercises?0 -
It didn't seem to. I went shopping on Saturday and was doing bodyweight squats in the dressing room. LOL
I was testing out some workout pants, so it wasn't weird until I tried on some heels at the same time0 -

I totally do this. With skirts too. Heh.
You're going to have to let your bum heal. According to this article: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/patientinstructions/000573.htm it can take 4 or more weeks. It also said you can start incorporating light exercise as the pain goes away. So no heavy weights for awhile.0 -
I guess I'll switch to just the upper body lifting and maybe some bodyweight squats/wall-sits. What a shame...I was having so much fun!
(I did it in the skirt I ended up buying toowith the heels lol)
