Halfway to Milestone 5!!
I hit my goals yesterday. My run felt really good, but now my ankle is hurting. I hope it feels better before my next run on Thursday.
Also, I'm really excited! I'm less than a pound away from no longer being obese! It's been just sitting there taunting me and I'm finally within reach of "overweight"!!
Goals for today:
1. stay within calories
2. 10,000 steps
3. swim & strength

Good morning everyone!!!!
Hi SingRunTing I'm cheering for you!!! Get it girl!!!
Kenda, don't worry about one meal... I was starving too when I got home last night, but leftovers saved me.
Yesterday was fantastic! All my lifts felt great and finally I'm getting my deadlift glory back! I'm so proud of myself for the progress I'm making on the overhead press!
Resting today so time to eat really good, drink lots of water and enjoy the day!!!
Make it a fabulous day!!!0 -
Great job SingRunTing, Kenda, and Danelutza!! You guys work so hard, I know you all will meet your goals.
I'm still sick but starting to feel better. Didn't work out yesterday because I was so miserable and to be honest I probably won't today either. I was happily surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning. I thought it would say the same thing or maybe even more than last week because I have eaten a lot of carbs and crackers when I have been sick, but it actually went down a pound. That sure was nice to see and made me want to continue to work at this even when I'm sick.
Goals for today:
1. Feel better.
2. Drink enough water.
3. Stay within calories.
Good luck everyone!!!0 -
why is it so hard to drink 64ozs of water. Anyone have any tips that could make it easier???
I don't have any problems staying within my calories, i must admit that i have a hard time getting to 1000 cals. I started MFP in June 2014 at 270.4 pounds, Monday i weighed in at 192.5 pounds. I just can't seem to get the water in. HELP0 -

This is what helped me. I went from someone who was chronically dehydrated (even as a kid, my mom would have to force me to drink) to easily drinking at least 74 oz a day.
1. Change your container. I like a cup with a straw. For some reason having a straw makes it easier for me to drink faster. I keep a cup with a straw on my desk at work right in front of me and I find myself just leaning over to sip all the time. I also use a water bottle when I get home (I have a 24 oz one and a 28 oz one). I know that I have to finish it before I go to bed.
2. Make it easy to track. Some people have a water bottle and they know they have to drink 3 of them a day. That's pretty easy to track. I like to switch it up and I hate tracking water on MFP. I use an app called waterlogged. Its free and its easier than the water tracking on MFP. You can set a custom goal and input any volume you want. I use it everyday and it made a big difference in getting to my goals.
3. Realize that it doesn't ALL have to be straight water. I like water. I can drink my days worth in water. But sometimes I just need something different. Things like seltzer water, flavored water, tea, and, yes, even coffee or soda all count toward your goal. Sometimes I'll have a diet coke with lunch instead of water. Just mixes it up and it counts. As long as it's made of mostly water, it counts. I do drink at least one seltzer water a day just because I like it.0 -
Thanks SingRunTing, i will give it a try, i love the straw idea.0
