Hello All,
I have just started a 5x5 Strong Lifts programme today. Someone in the forums gave me a link to this group and I am really happy to be part of it.

Just a little about me. I am a 46 year old mum, a Taekwondo practitioner and a business owner. I want to get back into shape as I fell off the trail a bit last year. Many people have been telling me about lifting and I have been inspired by women older than me who lift and look beautiful.

It would be great to connect with likeminded women who have benefited from lifting.

Grace

hi, nice to see you. i may be biased but i definitely think you're in the right place.

did you see the daily check-in thread yet? it's not obligatory to post your workouts there, but if you do feel like doing it, it's a great way to just jump right into this community.

Thanks and yes I saw it. Can you post all workouts you do or just the 5x5?

I just joined this group today, and am interested in starting 5x5. How many of you use the phone app?

I use the Android app and love it. I did spring for the warmups add-on, and it's worth it IMO.

Have fun! I never got the app but my old phone didn't do those and I never take my phone with me anyways. It's in the locker in my gym bag and I record my workouts on a little notebook I found at the dollar store.

Gotta laugh, I purchased the weight calculator and warmup sets. Neither work with the limited OLD equipment I have!

Android store has a return policy if within 24 hours I think...

    iPhone :\
  • I use the app every workout. I like the simple interface. And I have my phone with me for music anyway, so it's easy.

I always use the app because it tells me what to do and tracks what I'm doing. I lift at home, thanks to my brother leaving me his weights. I will go to the gym when I run out of plates. Welcome to other newbies.

It's the 6plus, though, not sure how it works on older models - I dropped my 4S a few months ago and the screen turned black and blue (ironic, right?).
