Calories earned from exercise?

MFP has my daily calorie goal at 1,300. I do workout but otherwise am not super active. By the end of the day MFP says I have around 1,000-1,200 calories earned from exercise. This seems to be an outrageous number to me, almost twice as much as my daily goal. I have the Charge HR for reference. Why so many calories? It throws me way off!

You could be under estimating your activity level. How many steps are you getting in a day and what activity level did you pick on MFP?

Also double check and make sure your information is correct on both sites.

The calories you get from your adjustment are:
Fitbit Total Calorie Burn - MFP Estimated Calorie Burn Based on Activity Level Selection = +/- Adjustment

Thank you. I get about 10,000-12,000 steps a day & have MFP set on lightly active. I can't seem to find a place on FitBit to put where how much weight I'd like to loose a week. I know I am not burning 1000+ calories at the gym.

Based on your steps alone, it sounds like your closer to Active than lightly Active.
As for the weight loss part, on your Fitbit dashboard you should see a "Food Plan" tile (if it's not there look for the thing that looks like a side to a rubiks cube on top left side of page, click on it and you should see tiles that you can add). Now with the food tile, hover your mouse over it and you should see a gear appear at the bottom left side of tile. Click the gear and it should change the tile to show "plan intensity". You should now see a little pencil like icon on the right side about midway down the tile. Click it and it will bring up questions for you to answer about your goals.

Again, your adjustment in the exercise diary isn't just for your workouts. It's the difference between the calorie burn for your whole day and what MFP thought. Examples:

When I had MFP set to Sedentary_

Only 473 of the calorie burn from Fitbit is from time at the gym working out...the rest is just based on what I did that day + BMR

Recently I upped MFP to Lightly Active-

And yesterday...I am sick and have been for a few days so no workouts...I only ended up with around 5000 steps for the day
