Not sure where I went but I am back now. Wanted to update though I am friends with a lot of you outside the group.

I truly missed reading the posts in this group while I was away. I have hit my 100lbs gone goal and currently sit at 106lbs gone. Though I believe this past week was a great one and my check-in will be tomorrow or Friday. Starting weight in Sept 2013 was 319.2.

I followed Patrick in his biking adventures and bought a stationary bike for the house. We live in a very rural area of Tennessee so biking outdoors would be difficult and slightly dangerous with no sidewalks/greenways near by  So I am pedaling away in my living room watching my kiddos (who are about to turn 2 next weekend!!!) play and dance to whatever silly show is on TV. My son now thinks its amazingly funny to throw a ball at me while I am riding the bike, while my daughter sneaks around trying to scare me "BOO".

I am considering starting a new personal training sessions to show me the proper way to weight/strength train. I broke my arm several years ago snow-skiing with residual nerve damage (though its probably 85-90% normal now). But due to this, I have been soooo nervous about any training involving my arms. With the weight loss, I am now seeing extra skin which is completely grossing me out.

Yay! So glad to see you back. :)

Kudos on your personal goal marker hit. :)

I would love to have some personal fitness equipment in my home, other than the floor! It's kind of cute that your kiddos "get involved" while you're working out... That's got to be a nice family adventure of sorts.

I think that if you focus on getting a trainer or physical therapist who specializes in rehabbing patients and weight training, this could be something that really helps you get over that nervousness.

As the fat layer in my stomach thins, I'm starting to notice droopy skin too, but I'd rather have the skin than the fat. Things can always be done about the skin. Not so much on the fat without major issues. Keep overloading on water, massage lotion into the problem areas at least once a day, and get your rest, as much as possible with those two little bundles of energy around. Being younger, your skin still has a chance to play catch up at least somewhat, as long as you nourish it. We'll always have some scars from our pasts, but we can fight like hell to minimize them.

Hugs, Melissa - so glad to see you back!

Huge congrats on the massive loss and well done on starting the cycling. Your kids sound ace. Even just a few personal trainer sessions will benefit you but if you can afford it I'd defo reccomend a short course or so. I have been seeing mine for months now and will continue as long as I can afford it. Its a good use of my energy and money, motivates me no end and I class it as a me luxury since I dont drink or smoke and am spending less on junk food. Am also going to see a nutritionist for a while thanks to a small windfall so I'd defo reccomend it

Great job on the loss so far! I love biking and I use it as my major form of exercise. I know what you mean about the saggy skin. A lot of it has to do with genetics so while you can do somethings to lessen it some of us are fighting a losing battle.

So great to see you hit your 100+lb mark. It is such a wonderful feeling.

I'm glad your enjoying the stationary bike, it's a great workout (and nice that it burns more calories then walking). If your ever in CA i have a tandem with your name on it :)
