I just finished setting up my fitbit charge hr on the website. It's showing I've burned 800 calories today, should I just ignore this since I haven't even put it on my wrist yet and start tomorrow? Or perhaps there a way to delete or modify this number?

Also, it won't connect to my Samsung Galaxy s4. My bluetooth sees it when I scan for devices but when I click "charge HR" it says "Unable to communicate with Charge HR." Am I missing some steps I need to do before connecting? (I solved this problem! :))

Right now I have my fitbit charging, it hasn't been on my wrist yet.

Oh, also, will MFP adjust my exercise calories from fitbit without being synced on my phone?

Hello welcome to the world of more data...lol, had mine just over a week now, so getting used to it....

Ignore the first day at least, maybe 2....mine was very high first fill day.....still is high IMO......once you sync with MFP, (goto apps in MFP and add FB tracker) sync the 2, then you will need to sync up for the info to be crossed over fully (my understanding, maybe I be told differnet) but you can sync from you home pc, I do from my desktop at home.....I do not have my phone with my most of the time, so its not synced to that often.....Hope this helps...enjoy...

The advice to ignore the first day of data is exactly right. It will not make sense.

However, your FitBit *will* show calories burned every morning when you first get up, before you've taken any steps. That's from your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and is why it showed 800 calories before you'd even put it on your wrist. That was the calories you would have burned since midnight just by being alive.
