Need a new program!! (Chalean X, Body pump, Combat, BodyBeast)

Okay, so I have been trying to post in the regular forums and have got not much response to my questions. I have been doing insanity for the last month and a half, and find that I am really struggling with the program and feel miserable. I decided to set it aside until next new years (of which then I will be starting with month two, then do month one!)
I really love Turbo Fire.
I am also meeting my goal weight soon and want to look into doing more weights. I will be getting my bench press set inside the house in 6 months so I am looking into programs that involve weights that are intense, without eating up 2 hours out of my day to do the workout.
So can anyone please do a comparison or give reviews on Chalean X VS Body Beast. Chalean X looks a little cheesy to me, like I am stepping back in time (as this is older than turbofire). I know nothing of body beast. One thing that really makes or breaks a program for me I find is the music. I am also not only looking for myself, but I am hoping perhaps one day my boyfriend will join in...so it would be nice to have workouts he might enjoy. Which is why I lean towards Body Beast. I also love Chalean.
I also have heard about Les Mills Body Pump, which I would love to try - but it does not appear to even exist on the beach body website??
I am also looking at buying Les Mills Combat, but I am reading that the female "Rach" sings through out the work out. I watched a LIVE workout on youtube...and maaaaaan she sings ALOT to be annoying. I am not even a fan of the pop-ish music, I am heavy metal, so the music I find embarassing enough, but when the person is constantly singing through out the workout...well it just emphasizes the *kitten* music i have to listen to. Does she sing a lot through the basic package dvds too?

I've done Body Pump and Combat and have loved both! Body Pump has singlehandedly shaped my body more than almost any other workout program, and combat always manages to help me get a good sweat in.
I have a friend who did Body Beast, and from my understanding, it's really more of a bodybuilding program. If you're looking to lose a few more pounds, I would hold off on BodyBeast until you're looking to bulk (just in my opinion).
The perfect Beachboy program for you that I can think of though would be P90X3. I know that you didn't list it here, but have you considered it? You'll still get your cardio, some weight training, and you'll get some other various workouts that you might end up loving as well such as yoga and pilates. I've done P90X3 and Insanity, and if you're worried about intensity, P90X3 is nothing like Insanity. It's much more doable in my opinion!
Best of luck!0 -
have you heard of why beach body does not have Body Pump on their website? it looks like it might be discontinued...0

Oh that is weird. It's not on Amazon anymore either http://www.amazon.com/Les-Mills-PUMP-Workout-Times/dp/B0094K7MM6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top0

Yeah I just called/read that they are discontinuing both programs

Body Beast is extremely intense, and very weight oriented with little cardio and stretching. P90X and P90X3 are both awesome and sound like what you are looking for plus they are more balanced.0

I have Combat and Pump and love them both... Combat is my favorite program so far, and totally changed me inside & out. I'm doing my 2nd round of Combat now with the Ultimate Warrior calendar. They do sing & chat a bit during the dvd workouts, but not too much. Plus, when I'm doing the workouts I don't notice the singing and banter as much.0

So I decided to go a head an purchase Combat, since it is on a wicked sale right now (and it will soon be discontinued!) Unfortunately, I was also looking into getting Pump, but that has already been discontinued. I was inspired though, because I like the idea of pump and the moves they use with the bar bell...but I often hate the music in workout programs, I have decided to rip off the moves and put it to my own play list.
I also will be returning to the gym for weights, and perhaps get Beast as my next purchase.0 -
Good luck!!!0

I love Combat, I'm finishing my first round this week and starting the Ultimate Warrior schedule next week (I highly recommend getting the Ultimate Warrior DVD's too since everything's on sale). I wish I had purchased Pump before it was discontinued, but I was too late.
Apparently Beachbody has started an On Demand site where you can stream certain programs without purchasing them! They include P90X, P90X2, P90X3, Insanity, TurboFire, Brazil Butt Lift, Ten Minute Trainer, ChaLEAN Extreme, Insanity: The Asylum Vol 1, Tony One-on-One (vol 1), and Hip Hop Abs currently. I believe they'll be adding more eventually. It's $2.99/week ($38.87 quarterly) and you'll also get a 10% discount on products.
Here's the link to the sign up site: http://www.teambeachbody.com/en_US/signup?
You'll also be able to stream programs that you've already purchased, but currently only 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, and T25 will be available by the end of March. Here's the FAQ page for more info.

I'm no coach, I just heard about this and thought it was a great way to try programs without committing to purchasing them. I'll probably do this later so I can test out a few programs once I'm done with my current one.
Best of luck with Combat - it's a blast!
