Horse riding, cycling with fitbit on?

How will these activities affect my steps and calorie stats? How can you "disable" the tracker but keep it on your wrist for these activities. I plan on turning it off for the time I ride and then log it later. Is it possible to switch off?

I keep mine on all the time and try to "adjust" from when I'm riding. The steps may be off, but the exercise and workout of a good ride I think balances it out.0

You would need to replace the calorie count for sure, as it'll likely be badly inflated, with many extra steps seen.
Now, you can leave the non-"steps" and know you got the calorie replaced, or you'd need to log driving a car to replace the steps too.
There is no way to disable it to ignore the bogus steps.
If you aren't doing step goals, that may not matter. If you are, need to do the above.0 -
Thank you! Then I will just check the duration and exact time of the time spent on the horse and will log an excersize there.0
