UP24 more stable than UP?

I'm on my fifth UP in 2 years. I love it, and they're really good at replacing it when it stops working (through no fault of my own, I don't even shower with it on), but I've really had my heart set on the UP24. Has anyone noticed that the UP24 is less likely to die? My hope was that it might be stronger since they've had time to really work with it and because you can get updates so easily.

Is it time for me to plunk down more money and buy the new one, or should I just see if I can get a new replacement (this one needs a soft reset whenever I am going to sync and has started flashing its lights 7 times).

My UP24 breaks just as often as my UP did—and my Fitbit Flex, too. After all, they're tiny computers I wear on my wrist 24/7. (I only take them off to charge.)

Jawbone bought BodyMedia, then put some of their technology in the UP3. So maybe save up even more money and get one of those?
