Good Morning!
I see that zumba has become very popular all of a sudden . I hope everyone who is trying it out is enjoying it, I know I do. My day is going a little slow right now, I missed my workout last night and I woke up late this morning so I have hit a double whammy of not working out. But I do plan to do my zumba tonight, maybe even add in some yoga or a 15min. circuit to make up for it. Since I was in such a rush this morning I didn't pack a lunch or snacks, or set anything out for dinner so I guess I'm winging it again today. I'm sure I'll find something yummy and healthy around here somewhere, and I'll defrost a couple chicken breast in the microwave so I won't have to stop by a store .
Still super excited to get my treadmill this weekend, plus it's my niece's birthday today (she turned 8) so the family is throwing her a party this Saturday (wish us luck with that). Mmmm just thinking of that yummy birthday cake makes me want to drool lol. But anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. Can't wait to hear about it.

Another snow day! Wow. This has been a tough 2 months of weather!
On a fun note I got a super cute shamrock to hang on the front door. It looks great in the snow!
Stuck in the basement on the dreaded stair master again today. But I did 45 mins and then 15 of weights. My temporary 'fast' is over but I still find it unbelievably easy to blast through a thousand calories! Oh well!
I BELIEVE that this will pay off! Therefore, it will. Right, Kris?
Take Care,

Broke down and bought the Zumba starter kit. My oldest daughter, Nicole, and I spent 25 minutes on the "how to" disc this morning and we're going to complete it tonight. So far, it is very fun and engaging - we're both looking forward to the next set of dance moves.
I'm happy to report that, contrary to popular belief, she doesn't have 2 left feet after all (& may actually have a little rhythm!) It doesn't hurt that her 5 yo and 8 yo look hilarious trying to mimic the Zumba moves!! Laughter IS the best medicine!
I've already logged my dinner for later this evening (sushi, yummy) so there will be NO cheating there ~ even though the weather outside is horrific, Zumba will keep us warm & burning calories!! If it sounds like I've found my motivation again, I have to agree! I upped my per-day step goal on my FitBit from 3000 to 5000 steps per day, I'm looking forward to alternating the Zumba with outdoor activities when the weather permits AND I bought a beginner's running magazine last night with an article & chart that helps track your Couch 2 5k progress! A healthier me is right around the corner, lol

Wait, wait, wait! WWHHHAAATTTT? *Minion Voice* My sister actually has rhythm? Lol, I knew she'd find in one day.
I'm jealous about the sushi, but I'll see ya'll Saturday .0 -
I am so glad to be here at my daughter's. The day was rough. First flight was late and I had to run (because the sky link was broke down) for 22 min. to catch my flight. That gate was really far away. The only reason I did was because the flight attendants didn't show up and they had to wait for new ones to come in. They had already closed the door but opened it when they saw me. I thought I was going to die. (What if I hadn't been exercising and hiking for the past 6 months?) The next connection I also barely made but I am here! yea! So that was my exercise today. I am feeling a little bit better again today or should I have said was until that run. Really hurt my lungs and my voice is all but gone. Planning to feel great in the morning There's my positive thinking.
Good job Susan for sticking with that dreaded stair master (that is my least favorite machine).
Kris - I've never tried Zumba but have been very curious. Love my treadmill though and my husband just got us a second one so we can both have it at the same time. lol he only does the treadmill. Hope you found something good for your meals.
Shanda -Good job, sounds like a great time. What is a Zumba kit?
As I put on my newsfeed tonight:
There is no elevator to SUCCESS, you have to take the stairs.
Here's to all of us taking the stairs! Good night all!
