Hey all. Cinnamon from the west coast here. I'm scheduled for my VSG in Tijuana on March 11th with Dr. Cabrera. I'm a little nervous.
Okay, I'm a lot nervous. Who isn't? ;D
Looking for advice, support, and just generally a group of like-minded folk.

Best wishes. The surgery will go fine. In fact, my actual surgery (here in the USA) only took 45 min. I was in pre-op longer than the actual surgery took. The day after surgery is the least fun but not terrible. Every day after that gets a little better. Once they start having you sipping liquids, be aware that tastes can change so experiment with what works best for you-- warm, room temp or cold liquids. Most protein powders are sweet, so its nice to also have something savory, like Unjury chicken soup protein powder. The one thing I didn't have that I ended up needing by the 3rd week post-op was a stool softener. That happens to a lot of people so you might want to pick that up after surgery, just to have on hand. Sending you wishes for an easy surgery and recovery.0
